Today we are discussing the release of the new Marvel movie "Ant-Man and the Wasp". For now, we'll take a look at the teaser trailer and the film's storyline.
One of my doubts, or rather several doubts, is related to the movie "The First Avenger: Confrontation". In this film, in the third part, the arc of Scott Lang's salvation was largely nullified and to some extent the denial of Clint Barton's retirement line occurred.
Of course, Lang (Paul Rudd) and Barton (Jeremy Renner) could not have imagined that they would have to face a bunch of angry avengers, but at the end of the movie they become fugitives and are once again away from their families.
Continuation of the line of the first avenger
However, whatever the finale of Captain America: Civil War, it will be used in the new Marvel movie "Ant-Man and the Wasp" as a starting point. So, as it often happens, the radically changing storyline can be said to be ignored in the real film, and therefore we will only see it in the sequel. Maybe this is again a commercial move by the filmmakers? After all, their main task is to keep the viewer in suspense, which is exactly what we like.
We've already seen a similar approach in Captain America: Civil War, which dealt with Tony's failed moments from Age of Ultron. Consciously or not, all films from the DC series, the expanded version of the universe, are to some extent structured in such a way that they turned out to be a kind of response to the audience and the media reaction to the battle scene from the third act of Man of Steel. While we may not be shouting about it at every corner, it looks like Man of Steel has brought the creators back to a more traditional Superman adventure. However, this is only a guess, the truth, it will hardly be possible to find out.
Gradually, we realize that these big films are becoming more like episodes of TV series. Therefore, it is probably worth getting used to the fact that the main storylines will remain unsaid, and the development of the actions of these films will be transferred to the next film in the order of release. In general, the continuation is being delayed until the next project. But let's get back to Peyton Reed's Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Ant-Man and the Wasp Trailer
The trailer shows the very status quo from "The First Avenger" in a rather pleasant light, which is actually good and at the same time it does not present much of the plot and turns of events. This is great because for now this is just a teaser trailer. There won't be many superheroes in the film. Basically, we will be told the story of Ant-Man and the Wasp, and their mentor, Hank Pym, will also appear, played by Michael Douglas.
The first movie with a leading female character from Marvel?
We can say that by default this will be the first film in the Marvel Universe, where the leading superhero will be a female character in the person of Evangeline Lilly. I remember the creators said something about the fact that they would try to make not only great action, but also add elements of a romantic comedy to it, it was not for nothing that they invited the beauty Evangeline.
What's interesting to me, by the way, is that as the new film unfolds, it means Lang's crime story is kind of ... forgotten if he and the rest of the Marvel cinematic heroes just saved the world from Thanos a couple of months ago. But let's not go aside.
Looking forward to July
The Wasp (Lilly) alone will play a big role in the success of this film, but even she cannot guarantee that Ant-Man and the Wasp can rise above the box office of Ant-Man in 2015, which collected worldwide $ 519 million. This year will be another when 3 Marvel films are released, and these three are products of Disney. If "Black Panther" gets its well-deserved share of recognition (and she got it), and then "Avengers: Infinity War" will be accepted by the audience in early May at least no worse than "The First Avenger: Confrontation", then "Human Ant and Wasp "will become famous in the month of July.
A more detailed review of the film, the history of its creation, a detailed development of the plot will be presented in the next articles dedicated to the MCU.
