The Human project presented wireless headphones in an unusual design for this type of device. At the same time, the startup team considers its branded full-size Human Headphones to be truly wireless, since there are no connecting parts between headphones of this form factor.
Human Headphones are two wide, overhead spheres that completely cover the ears. There are no wired connections between them. Something reminiscent of seashells, the 2019 wireless headphones by the Human team are magnetically connected to each other. When closed, Human Headphones can be used as a Bluetooth speaker, and if the user wants to isolate himself from external noise or listen to music, the right and left halves can be disconnected from each other, then placed on the ears and turned counterclockwise.
The headphone device includes a 30mm speaker and four microphones. With their help, the gadget can be turned into a standard intercom headset. In addition, portable headphones can communicate with a voice assistant. There are two ways to customize Human Headphones - through external pressing on the surface of "shells" or gesture control.
Another additional feature integrated into wireless headphones is simultaneous translation capability. For this, there is a special application for Android and iOS, in which you can set individual settings. The connection between the smartphone and the headphones is provided by the Bluetooth 4.2 standard. According to the manufacturer, convertible headphones support 11 common languages.
Also, special modes in microphones allow you to choose to use either complete isolation from extraneous sounds or allow a little external noise to penetrate in order to control the surrounding space. In the future, the developers promise to add other options to Human Headphones, including equalizer control.
The Human project speaks of nine hours of continuous operation of the gadget in playback mode with a full battery charge. Human Headphones are powered via the USB Type-C port. The price for wireless headphones is $ 400.
