The budget-class smartphone Huawei P Smart 2019, which has not yet been officially presented on behalf of the manufacturer, has been declassified. One of the overseas chain retailers published an image of it with a description of the technical characteristics. A smartphone with a circular notch on a 6.2-inch Full HD + screen has a dual camera and a new proprietary chipset Kirin 710.

Structure and Design

The Huawei 2019 smartphone is an updated solution to previous models of the P Smart line. It is distinguished from its predecessors by its appearance and the presence of an NFC module for contactless payments. The new Huawei Smart smartphone has thinner bezels compared to previous members of the family. At the top of the screen there is a round cutout instead of the usual "monobrow"; the back panel of the case, together with the sides, is made of plastic.

The device is presented in black and blue. On the front side of the case, the manufacturer did not add a corporate logo, so the front panel of the smartphone contains only a selfie camera lens and a voice speaker.

Instead of the usual Type-C slot, the Huawei Smart 2019 is equipped with a micro-USB connector. The lenses of the dual main cameras are shifted to the side, giving the fingerprint scanner a higher position.

The 6.2-inch IPS-display of the novelty (1080x2340) is larger than that of the 2017 model, but inferior to Huawei P Smart +. The display is located on 83% of the front panel area. The screen works in standard and saturated modes. In the latter case, color reproduction becomes brighter and cooler. Colors appear warmer in normal mode.

Hardware and software device

The budget smartphone Huawei 2019 runs on a proprietary 8-core Kirin 710 processor. Its components include Mali-G51 MP4 graphics, four high-performance Cortex-A73 cores (2.2 GHz) and four energy-saving Cortex-A53 (1.7 GHz) ). This mid-range processor is also used in the 2018 Smart + model, it is enough for everyday tasks, in terms of performance it can be compared with the Snapdragon 636/660 models from Qualcomm.

The smartphone comes in assemblies 3/32 and 4/64 volumes of RAM and internal memory. The second SIM card slot can be used for microSD, thereby increasing the amount of internal storage up to 512 GB. The device supports standard technologies Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, the presence of the aptX HD codec allows audio transmission over wireless channels. The NFC module allows for contactless payments. The built-in battery capacity is 3400 mAh, which is enough for 24-36 days of using the device with average activity.

The software for the Huawei P Smart 2019 smartphone is Android 9 along with the proprietary add-on EMUI 9.0.1. Standard shell components, such as easy search, clear design and useful energy saving tools, do not differ much from the eighth, however, assembly 9.0.1 has been simplified and optimized: the developers removed a number of interface details, improved the application launch system, and added navigation with gestures that are convenient on devices with an extended screen.

The P Smart 2019 smartphone received a dual camera with 13 and 2 MP modules, as well as an 8 MP front lens. An optional 2MP module adjusts the depth of field to create bokeh effects for portrait photos. An AI component that recognizes the scene type and then optimizes the frame is placed on the main screen. The artificial intelligence system makes minor adjustments to the color structure of the frame, "gently" using the HDR mode in high-contrast images, which allows you to keep it on by default.
