Dreams

Dreams (or "Dreams" in USA translation) is an experimental game created for 7 years by the developers from Media Molecule. The studio is known for games full of quirky solutions and tools that allow gamers to create their own levels. Dreams is a logical continuation of the Media Molecule concepts and is presented by the developers as a designer and at the same time a platform for gamers to create any works of art. The place where players can make all their dreams come true.

Despite the ambitiousness of the concept, the first projects of players in Dreams have already fully proven that the set of tools in the game practically does not limit gamers in creativity. At the moment, "Dream Simulator" is already out in PSN Early Access, and in February 2020 the full version is expected to be released, complete with games created by the developers themselves.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

The developers say that when creating Ori and the Will of the Wisps they focused on Hollow Knight, from which they took into their project a character who sells maps of the area and the mechanics of artifacts ("Soul Shards"), which allows you to change the characteristics and skills of the hero depending on from the current situation.

Nioh 2 is another hardcore game in our top, the first part of which was remembered for the familiar souls-like concept, which was supplemented by an advanced combat system with stance mechanics, an abundance of loot like Diablo and a plot that combined real Japanese historical figures with mysticism of oriental folklore. Fans of the first game shouldn't expect significant changes. The recent beta of Nioh 2 proved that this is still the same furious action game, which, however, lost the visual monotony of the original game and acquired several innovations.

Among the important changes, we note the addition of a demonic youkai essence for the main character, which allows you to absorb the soul of defeated demons and turn them into new skills or rare items for crafting items. The Guardian Spirit mechanic has changed slightly, giving the player the ability to take demonic form.

Doom Eternal

The sequel to the successful shooter DOOM is created according to the proven recipe for an ideal sequel: "All the same cabbage soup, only bigger and thicker." Twice as many demons, twice as bloody scenes of finishing off and twice as much pathos in the performance of Dumgai, with an unclouded face with his bare hands tearing apart demonic foes.

The main innovations are the change of deployment from Mars and Hell to the apocalyptic Earth and the Moon, as well as the significantly increased dynamics of battles. The gameplay of Doom Eternal has been supplemented with numerous boosters to increase the speed and strength of the character, and the levels have become larger and multi-storey, which should significantly increase tactical capabilities and increase the number of enemies on the level.

Half-Life: Alyx

We have been waiting for the continuation of the cult series Half-Life for 12 long years and, finally, Valve deigned to answer the prayers of the fans. The answer turned out to be ambiguous, not only does Half-Life: Alyx play the role of the prequel to Half-Life 2 and change the main character to Alix, but we also have a project sharpened completely for VR-helmets. Given the fact that the gameplay is based on VR mechanics, we do not expect that even the advanced Half-Life modding community will be able to adapt the game for keyboards and mice. Therefore, it remains only to reconcile, if possible, upgrade your PC and buy a VR headset and controllers in order to personally play another part of the cult series of shooters.

At the same time, after the release of Half-Life: Alyx, the gaming industry may change dramatically, as we have the first truly major VR blockbuster created from the icons of gaming.

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is, apart from Half-Life: Alyx, the main PC game of 2020, which the community of patient fans has been waiting for almost 8 years. If you are not familiar with the original Mount and Blade, then the project is most easily described as a simulator of a medieval master, allowing you to put together your own small empire, while personally participating in large-scale battles. Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord's unique mix of sandbox, strategy, and Actrion-RPG will get a lot more complicated in small details and, for example, will add advanced fortress siege mechanics, facial animations and expanded diplomacy options to forge alliances with one of 9 playable factions.

Of course, the picture with animation has not been forgotten either. Externally, the game Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord on PC, although it does not meet the latest technological standards of the industry, looks at least neat and authentic.

Resident Evil 3 Remake

After the overwhelming success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, the release of a similar reworking of the third part was only a matter of time. To our joy - a matter of the very near future. Resident Evil 3 Remake, according to the assurances of the developers, will see significant changes compared to the original game. Yes, this is all the same chilling horror in which you have to count every cartridge and run away from Nemesis in horror. The changes lie in a little more action, a slight reworking of the plot and "humanization" of the characters, as well as in more ramified levels.

Cyberpunk 2077
