Google's Datally Android app has been updated with a number of features that allow you to control the traffic consumption of your mobile device in more detail and reduce it in some way. Datally, which was originally designed to track traffic consumed by smartphones, was released last year. According to the developers, with its help, on average, it turns out to reduce Internet costs by about 20%. The utility not only provides analytics for days, weeks and months of mobile Internet consumption, but also allows you to optimize it. Datally generates a list of used applications that take the most traffic, and displays information at what time of day this occurs. The updated version of Datally now includes four additional tools to more carefully conserve gigabytes. Daily limitFirst of all, Datally on Android now has a built-in feature to track daily traffic. The user now has the opportunity to set a limit on the amount of Internet consumed per day, upon reaching which a notification is received and two options for choosing: do not exceed the limit or continue using the Internet on a smartphone. Everything for guestsAnother tool called "Guest Mode" sets a restriction on the consumed Internet traffic if the smartphone is used not only by its owner. This function can be useful when several people use the device. It is enough to activate the mode and set the limit yourself. Background Applications According to Google analytics, about 1/5 of mobile traffic is occupied by utilities that run in the background. Now Datally will "take control" of such applications and form them into a separate list. The user can completely disable background data consumption or simply delete something from this list. Help Finding Free Wi-FiDatally has now added a map showing free Wi-Fi hotspots available for connection, which, according to the developers, will help you find a network with a good signal level faster and easier and save your own traffic. Previously, in the application, the nearest networks were simply displayed as a list. The Topic of Article: The Datally app has received additional options to save mobile traffic. |
