As soon as manufacturers are not sophisticated to make a cut-out front panel of a smartphone, thus increasing the size of its usable area. The dream of many companies is to create a device with a "clean" screen from edge to edge. Many variants have been tried and created for this.

Cameras are built into the screen, make them retractable, use a slider type, reduce bangs. Vivo recently announced two smartphones featuring pop-up selfie devices.

ZTE has developed its own solutions to this problem. Let's talk about everything in order.

Option from ZTE

The ZTE Axon V smartphone is still a concept. The architecture of the lens arrangement used in it is based on its equipment with a side 3D camera system.

Resource Notebook Italia claims that the module consists of two lenses mounted on the side to the right of the front panel of the gadget. As a result, it turned out that the display occupies almost 100% of the entire front area.

The device has a 6.8-inch OLED panel and an aspect ratio of 21: 9 (just like the Sony Xperia 1, Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus). This advanced technology allows the user to get some cinematic experience while watching video on the screen without cutouts or bangs.

The images show that the dual block of the main camera was placed in the usual place - on the back panel.

There is currently no information on the functionality of 3D sensors. They are likely to be used not only for selfies, but also for recognizing the user's face (to ensure safety).

Representatives of the developer explained that the space that was formed as a result of equipping the smartphone with a special panel will be used to install a large-capacity battery. The likelihood of launching such a gadget into production is high, so soon everyone will be able to see such products on sale.

However, the concepts from ZTE do not end there. There is another option.

The smartphone does not have any protrusion on the side. It was equipped with a retractable side panel. It extends to the full length of the device on its right side. This panel houses the front and main cameras, flash and other sensors. Therefore, the back of the device does not have any sensors and is a smooth plane.

Both concepts are equipped with fingerprint scanners, their speakers are located at the top of the frame.

Axon S received a 48 megapixel lens belonging to the main camera. The second lens has a resolution of 19 megapixels. It is expected to be supplemented with a 5x optical zoom and a flash with a xenon lamp.

Both smartphones support 5G networks.

Yesterday in Moscow there was a presentation of new products Vivo V15 Pro and V15. Smartphones have a screen without frames, "bangs" and cutouts, a retractable "front" and three lenses of the main camera. The older model is equipped with a fingerprint scanner and more advanced hardware.

Vivo V15 Pro is equipped with a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19, 5: 9. It occupies almost 92% of the entire front panel area.

Side frames are 1.75 mm thick, top - 2.2 mm.

Of particular interest is the design of the selfie device. When this 32 Mp camera is not used, it is hidden in the body of the device. If necessary, it slides out in the upper right of the gadget.

The functionality of the main camera also deserves attention. It is equipped with AI, has the ability to recognize scenes and automatically enhance the resulting images. The sensors have a resolution of 48 and 8 megapixels, the depth sensor was allocated only 5 megapixels.
