Lenovo Flexible Laptop and HP Gaming

Flexible smartphones are coming soon that can be deployed to use the device as a tablet. Lenovo decided not to dwell on the already known achievements in this direction and began to develop a flexible laptop.

At the same time, laptops that are used in work and games are relevant. One of these gadgets is the HP Omen X 2S, which has two screens.

Let's discuss both developments in more detail.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1

Recently the company showed how its new device will look like. The developer said that the flexible Lenovo ThinkPad X1 laptop will hit the market next year. It will be released as a premium series.

The device features a 13.3-inch flexible OLED display (1920 x 1440 pixels) from LG. When it is folded, two equal halves are formed in the middle, one of which is the screen, and the other is the keyboard. When unfolded back, you can get a solid tablet.

Previously, Lenovo engineers have already tried to cope with the development of a product that has a virtual keyboard. For example, several devices in the Lenovo Yoga Book line have received two screens, which provide the ability to enter text, play or draw on one screen, and use the other to view important information.

However, these are all articulated devices. The novelty does not have those, there is one screen, which can be easily folded in half.

Developers suggest using ThinkPad X1 not only as a laptop or tablet. Its third way of application will be a variant of a large e-book, where content of interest to the user is placed on both screens. If you need to view your media, you can place your device on the stand. A keyboard connection is available for typing large amounts of text.

So far, nothing is known about the more detailed specifications of the gadget. Not everything is clear with the prices for such products. However, if users are willing to shell out US $ 2000-2500 for foldable smartphones, then it is unlikely that such a product with a large display will cost less.

Tom's Hardware published information, which says that its representatives personally touched Lenovo's folding laptop. Supposedly, it has an aspect ratio of 4: 3, it is equipped with an Intel processor, two USB Type-C ports, an IR camera that is compatible with Windows Hello and stereo speakers.

It is also known that the weight of the device does not exceed one kilogram. If you use it as a laptop, a screen is formed with a diagonal of 9.6 inches .

New HP laptop has a screen above the keyboard

HP's Omen X gaming lineup has been expanded with a dual-screen laptop. It was the HP Omen X 2S, which, as most people thought, received not two parallel screens, like a desktop gaming device, but something more interesting.

To its 15.6-inch main display, the developers have added another one, located above the keyboard. This screen got six inches diagonally.

Representatives developers explain that this display can be used to work with independent applications, for example, using chat or video. It is also permissible to use it to track messages or stream during the game. In addition, the small screen can be used in games that are viewed on the main monitor.

Realistically survey the map of the play area or some small room on it. According to the manufacturer, this is acceptable, as well as turning it into a virtual numeric keypad.

Pricing for the HP Omen X 2S is predicted to match its capabilities. From USD 2,100.

The main screen of the laptop is equipped with support for NVIDIA G-Sync technology, which allows you to support three display options: 1080p 144 Hz; 1080p 240Hz; 4K HDR 60Hz.

The device keyboard has received RGB backlighting for each key. The touchpad was placed to the right of it, not below.

The device received an Intel Core i7-9750H chipset, NVIDIA RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics, 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, a 256GB SSD, a 1080p display at 144Hz. It all runs on Windows 10 Home.

The developer claims that an advanced version of the laptop will soon appear, which has a Core i9-9980H processor, NVIDIA RTX 2080 Max-Q graphics chip, up to 32 GB of "RAM", up to 1 TB of ROM and Windows 10 Pro.
