The announced Xiaomi smartphones 2019 are being released by the manufacturer under the brand name Redmi, which emerged as a separate full-fledged brand at the beginning of this year. The Note 8 Pro has become a new representative of the world of mobile gadgets with a 64 MP camera, although technically it is not considered the first in the world - Oppo is slightly ahead of Xiaomi with the release of its Realme XT with a similar 64-megapixel module.

The cost of Redmi Note 8 varies in the range of $ 140 - $ 195, depending on the configuration. The junior smartphone of the line is presented in assemblies with 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal memory. The older Note 8 Pro with more powerful specifications is priced in the $ 195 - $ 250 range. Versions of its trim levels offer 6 and 8 GB of "RAM", as well as 64, 128 and 256 GB of internal memory.

The operating system of the device is Android 9 Pie, which is complemented by the MIUI 10 proprietary shell. Another member of the family, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 smartphone, has a similar OS with pre-installed Xiaomi firmware, a new version of which (MIUI 11) may appear already in 2019.

The main camera of the older model consists of four modules, three of which are located in a single module in the center of the rear surface of the case. Among them is the 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCEL Bright GW1, as well as an 8 MP wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP module based on ToF-matrix. Separately from the side is a fourth 2 MP sensor for macro photography. The selfie camera of Redmi Note 8 Pro is equipped with a 20-megapixel sensor and supports AI algorithms.

The basis of the gadget was the six-core MediaTek Helio G90T, accelerating to 2.05 GHz. The processor is made using 12nm technology (the manufacturer positions the chip as a solution for gaming smartphones), and it is complemented by the Mali-G76 3EEMC4 graphics. The Xiaomi Redmi smartphone is powered by a 4500 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The smartphone supports NFC technology, has built-in modules for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. The body also has a standard audio input and an infrared port for controlling other equipment.

Being the direct successor of the Note 7, the Redmi Note 8 smartphone has simpler characteristics compared to the older 8 Pro model, although outwardly they are largely identical. Redmi Note 8 also received a quad-sensor camera. Three of them completely repeat the specifications of the Pro version of the gadget, but the main module has a resolution of 48 MP. The selfie camera is equipped with a 13 MP sensor.
