Huawei launches tablet-sized smartphone sales

A new Huawei Honor with a 7.12-inch screen is presented on the USA market. For USA, the 8X Max smartphone became the record holder for the diagonal size. The novelty, sales of which will begin closer to mid-February, can be considered a direct competitor to the Mi Max 3 and Mi Max 2 manufactured by Xiaomi with their diagonals of 6.9 and 6.4, respectively. In addition to impressive dimensions for budget smartphones, the new Honor stands out with a rather powerful battery, modern interface and an eight-core Qualcomm processor.

Despite the impressive display, it would not be wrong to call the Huawei Honor smartphone a 2-in-1 device, or a neat tablet with phone functionality. In the first place, the 8X Max falls outside the classic 16: 9 aspect ratio that most tablets get. The novelty Honor has received a matrix IPS 19: 9, which is located at 90.5% of the front of the case. The screen, with subtle bezels at the top and sides, supports Full HD +.

A round notch is provided for the front-facing 8MP camera with FID support. Honor 8X Max with parameters 178 x 86 x 8 mm weighs 0.21 kg. Compared to other smartphones, the aforementioned model Mi Max 3 Xiaomi has approximately the same dimensions (176 x 87 x 8), and the "apple" 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max with a noticeably large screen cutout adheres to dimensions of 158 x 77 x 8.

The new Huawei Honor is powered by the Snapdragon 66 processor, whose cores are overclocked to 1.95 GHz. The device is equipped with 4 and 6 GB RAM parameters, depending on the configuration. Also, assemblies provide options with 64 and 128 GB of internal storage capacity. In addition, a separate slot is dedicated for a microSD card up to 256GB.

The new smartphone received Android version 8.1 Oreo, the components of which are supplemented with the modern firmware EMUI 8.2. The rear camera of the Honor 8X Max with LED flash is equipped with 16 and 2 MP primary and secondary sensors. The battery supports 5,000 mAh, thus outperforming the Mi Max 3 with its 5,500 mAh, but beating the iPhone XS Max (3174 mAh). According to the manufacturer, the novelty will last up to 12 hours without recharging for games and up to 3 days in audio listening mode. Fast charging technology via USB-C is used to recover the battery.

Huawei Honor supports two nano SIM cards. In addition to face identification technology, the smartphone is additionally equipped with a fingerprint sensor located on the back of the case. For the operation of the audio system, the main and speaker speakers are built into the device, and the sound quality is supported by the Dolby Atmos solution. The smartphone is presented in three colors - classic black, blue and bright red.
