The British Film Academy announced the winners of its BAFTA 2019 award. Among the honored was the movie adaptation of the Marvel comics "Black Panther", which received an award for the best special effects. Leticia Wright, who played one of the key roles in the movie, was awarded the "Rising Star" award.

Academics recognized the drama "Roma" as the best feature movie of the year. Its creator, Alfonso Cuaron, was nominated for Best Director and Best Cinematography. Also "Roma" was awarded as the best movie in a foreign language.

Rami Malek ("Bohemian Rhapsody") and Olivia Colman ("The Favorite") were named the best performers of the main roles. Rachel Wise ("The Favorite" ) and Mahershala Ali ("Green Book"). The Favorite was also voted Best British Film.
