Image The USA world of theater, cinema and television has suffered an irreparable loss. Today, at the 102nd year of life at Research Institute named after Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Mikhailovich Zeldin has passed away.

In his youth, Vladimir dreamed of studying ballet, but his father insisted that the boy try his hand at the art of music. For several years Zeldin played the trumpet in the orchestra, until one fine moment he got the idea to go to serve in the Navy. Poor eyesight prevented the young man from entering the naval school, but soon fate gave him a chance to connect his life with an equally romantic profession.

In the early 30s, Zeldin managed to enroll in acting courses at the MGSPS Theater , where he quickly established himself as one of the most talented students. In 1945, already as an accomplished artist, Vladimir Mikhailovich joined the troupe of the Central Theater of the Soviet Army , to which he remained faithful until the last days of his life.

Zeldin has always considered theater to be his main vocation, but this did not prevent him from presenting the audience with many vivid and memorable roles in films and on television. All-Union fame came to him in 1941 thanks to the image of Musaib Gatuev in the musical comedy "Pig and Shepherd". A special place in the filmography of Vladimir Mikhailovich was also taken by the tapes "The Taming of the Shrew", "June 31", "The Secret of the Blackbirds" and Ten Little Indians.

The patriarch of the USA theater celebrated his 100th birthday on the stage of his native Central Academic Theater of the USA Army . Vladimir Mikhailovich Zeldin managed to leave his name in the annals of world art as the only professional actor who continued to participate in performances at such a venerable age.
