MTV will start a war of the worlds
The topic of alien invasions has always been popular with both filmmakers and television producers. The reborn The X Files ( The X Files ) and the sci-fi drama Colony ( Colony ) have once again proved that public interest in on-screen aliens is not fading. The channel MTV decided to keep up with colleagues in the shop: according to the information site The Hollywood Reporter , the leadership of MTV has launched a series based on the work HG Wells War of the Worlds .The novel, one of the first books to touch on the topic of aliens, became a source for adaptations of all sorts. One of the most famous is the radio drama directed by Orson Welles, and in 2005 Steven Spielberg presented the film "War of the Worlds" starring Tom Cruise. The original is set in the 19th century during the Victorian era, and the book is about the invasion of the Martians and how they conquered England.  Leading the new project is Jeff Davis (Teen Wolf ) and Andy Cochran (Adult World). Given their track record, as well as MTV 's focus on youth audiences, journalists suggest that the series will be moved to modern times, with teenagers becoming the central characters of the show.
