According to the news site Deadline , Adam Brody ("Mr. and Mrs. Smith") and Amanda Crew ("Sex Drive") got the main roles in new psychological thriller The Wanting .It is reported that the atmosphere of the new film will remind viewers of such cult films as Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist.In the story, a young American couple, dreaming of starting a real family, moves to an idyllic, at first glance, residential area in New England. However, soon the heroes are seized by horror - young people have to fight with an evil creature who dreams of killing them. The new film is being directed by Yam Laranas ("Patient X"), while Donald Martin ("Chinese Funeral") adapted the original story by Jean De Mesa and the same Laranas .  This year, Adam Brody could be seen in the comedy The Yoganuts, and next year the actor will appear in the action movie California Night Patrol. As for Amanda Crew , she recently completed filming in the movie "Table 19", where she joined Anna Kendrick and Lisa Kudrow.  Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games) will star in the science fiction film The Darkest Minds , an adaptation of Alexandra Bracken's book series. Jennifer Yu (Kung Fu Panda II) has the director's chair, and the script is written by Chad Hodge ( Wayward Pines ). The original books are set in a post-apocalyptic world, in which most of America's children and adolescents died after the outbreak of an epidemic. The survivors, on the other hand, had various superpowers, which is why the guys were considered too dangerous for society and sent to special camps. The first novel is about Ruby Daly, 16 , who escaped such a camp and joined a group of rebels hiding from the government.  Recently we reported that Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan will star in the movie Wildlife . Now, Ed Oxenbould ("The Visit") has joined the cast of the film.He will play a teenager who witnessed the breakup of a parental marriage. His father, having lost his job, goes to extinguish forest fires outside the city, while his mother finds himself a lover at this time. The new film will be the directorial debut for War & Peace actor Paul Dano, who co-wrote the screenplay with Zoe Kazan (Ruby Sparks).
