Adam Driver to star with Spike Lee
While the new Star Wars is getting ready to hit the big screens, it has become known that Adam Driver will join Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming) in the Black Klansman crime thriller about the far-right American Ku Klux Klan (KKK) ...Spike Lee will not only direct and produce the film, but will also collaborate on the script with David Rabinowitz, Charlie Wachtel and Kevin Willmott. Three companies will be responsible for financing the project at once: Monkeypaw Productions, QC Entertainment and Blumhouse. The plot will be based on the autobiography of Ron Stallworth, a former Colorado Springs investigator, who in the late 70s managed to reach out to the leaders of the local clansmen cell. Stallworth became friends with the activists, communicating with them through the telephone and a system of secret signs, and for personal meetings the servant of the law always had a “white” representative in stock. The investigator not only managed to win the trust of the members of the Ku Klux Klan, but also received an offer to head their office in Colorado Springs. So, without knowing it, ardent followers of white supremacy invited an African American into their ranks.  The main role in the film will be played by John David Washington, and Driver will play an undercover cop.
