After Jack Reacher 2: Never Come Back started with only second place in the North American box office, Paramount Pictures was thinking about creating a new franchise that could compete with film series about James Bond and Jason Bourne . According to The Tracking Board , the Hollywood major has acquired the rights to film the book series Ted Bell about the British spy Alexander Hock .The debut of the literary hero took place in 2003 in the novel " Between Heaven and Hell " (original title - Hawke ). A member of a noble English family lost his parents while on a vacation in the Caribbean, when their yacht was attacked by sea pirates. Years later, Hawk , as a secret agent MI6 , returned to the Antilles to find a stolen submarine carrying 40 nuclear warheads. Over the years, Bell has written nine novels about the agent Hawk . The enemies of the brave spy were arms dealers, a former CIA officer, a descendant of Napoleon and even the President of USA.  Paramount Studios has contracted the script for the film by Kurt Wimmer, who is already quite familiar with the spy thriller genre from the Salt movie.
