The Russo brothers will start a bandit showdown on TV
Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo have long and successfully worked on television, but worldwide fame came to them only after they received an invitation to join the Marvel universe . The original 1979 film was set in New York City, where neighborhoods were divided among street gangs. Once representatives of each group were invited to a meeting, during which they were asked to bury the hatchet and join forces in the fight against the police. The author of this idea, the crime boss Cyrus , is killed in front of the amazed public, after which the members of the gang " Warriors " are suspected of committing a crime. Now they have to fight their way to their home area through hordes of other city bandits ...  The film Hill caused a rather controversial reaction from critics, and soon after the premiere, it found itself at the center of a grandiose scandal. The thriller was in high demand among street gangs, which led to a sharp increase in the number of cases of vandalism in American cinemas. Studio Paramount has even freed many film chains from contractual obligations so that they can rent the film. Even such an unpopular measure did not stop " Warriors " from earning almost six times its $ 4 million budget, and over the years the film even managed to acquire the status of a cult film. The script for the pilot will be written by Frank Baldwin , who is just starting his first steps in Hollywood. He recently completed work on the crime drama The Godmother about the life of the famous drug lord Griselda Blanco, portrayed by Catherine Zeta-Jones. Warriors will be produced by the brothers Russo , Mike Larocca (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) and Lawrence Gordon (Die Hard), who contributed to the 1979 film .
