No sooner had we announced that the director Ang Lee ("Life of Pi") wants to revive the long-term construction project Gemini Man , when the journalists managed to find out the name of the applicant for the main role in the film. According to the portal The Hollywood Reporter , Will Smith sat at the negotiating table with Skydance .If all goes well, then Smith will play two characters at once - an elderly assassin who decided to retire, and his younger version. Actually, the plot of the picture itself will be built around the confrontation between the main character and the clone, who is 25 years younger than him. For twenty long years, the sci-fi thriller has been gathering dust on the shelf. Back in 1997, the studio Disney became interested in the project, but at that time it was never realized. Since then, the tape has changed several teams of scriptwriters, but the producers constantly faced the same problem - insufficient technology development. It was originally planned to involve two actors in the film. They wanted to invite someone like Harrison Ford for the role of the assassin, and his clone would be played, for example, by Chris O'Donnell. However, Skydance is counting on only one actor, and its younger version will be created using computer technology.  The stumbling block in negotiations with Smith may be the busy work schedule of the Hollywood star. It was only recently that we reported that Will is going to be the Genie in the new Aladdin.
