Brian de Palma returns to work

Brian de Palma's latest film , the thriller Passion, a remake of France's Criminal Love, was released in 2012. The picture received not the most favorable reaction from critics, after which a five-year creative break followed. However, as it became known to the information portal The Hollywood Reporter , the master has finally decided to return to work.

The new project of de Palma will be a crime thriller called Domino. The script for the future film was written by Petter Skavlan ("Kon-Tiki"), and the main roles in it will be played by Christina Hendrix and Nikolai Koster-Waldau.

In the center of the plot will be a policeman from Copenhagen ( Waldau ), who wants to avenge the murder of his partner on a mysterious man named Imran . The hero teams up with a colleague and mistress of his late comrade ( Hendrix ) to catch the killer. However, the couple find themselves embroiled in a cat-and-mouse game with a double CIA agent that will lead them from the hazy Scandinavian expanses to the sun-drenched landscapes of Spain.

Nikolai Coster-Waldau became famous for his role as Jaime Lannister in the TV series Game of Thrones. His recent projects include the fantasy Gods of Egypt, the horror film Mama, the sci-fi film Oblivion and the comedy The Other Woman.

Mad Men star Christina Hendrix has recently appeared on the big screens in the mystical thriller Dark Secrets, the Cannes Film Festival's Neon Demon and the comedy Bad Santa 2. Her future work includes the thriller Woman on Fire with Sienna Miller and Aaron Paul and the detective based on Agatha Christie's The Twisted House with Gillian Anderson and Glenn Close.

Domino is expected to begin filming this summer.
