Casting: Magical Creatures and Poker Player
In February, we announced that Disney is planning to film the children's book A Rift in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. Oprah Winfrey has already won one of the main roles in the film, and now Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Cailing are preparing to accompany her, writes The Hollywood Reporter .The original story tells the story of a teenage girl Meg , along with her classmate and younger brother, on a journey through space and time in search of her missing father. Invaluable help in this matter will be provided by three supernatural beings - Mrs Who , Mrs What is and Mrs Who . If the negotiations are successful, Witherspoon will play the caring old lady Mrs What is , and Keyling will play the role of Mrs Who - who like to quote literary works.  The project will be directed by Ava DuVernay (Selma) and written by Jennifer Lee, who won an Oscar for Frozen. Work on the painting should start in November in Los Angeles.  Michael Cera (Superbad) is in talks to be cast in Molly's Game , the directorial debut of Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network). Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba previously signed up to take part in the filming.The project will tell the story of Molly Bloom's success. Unable to break into the Olympic team, the girl went to conquer Los Angeles. She began her career as a regular waitress, and eventually managed to create an underground empire, organizing high-stakes poker games for influential people. Sera claims to be the hero, nicknamed Player X - a certain celebrity who has developed an unusual relationship with Molly Bloom .  Sanaa Lathan (Alien vs. Predator) has joined the cast of the action movie American Assassin , in which Dylan O'Brien, Taylor Kitsch and Michael Keaton have already staked out roles. The script by Stephen Schiff (Wall Street 2: Money Doesn't Sleep) will be directed by Michael Cuesta (Kill the Messenger). Lathan will play the role of Irene Kennedy - Deputy Director of the CIA , who gives the hero Keaton the task of training a young mercenary, according to the fault of the terrorists who lost their girlfriend.
