The Trolls director is interested in the magic dragon
Some Hollywood studios are building entire cinematic universes based on comics, others are making films about popular toys, and Fox Animation decided to take the children's song Puff, the Magic Dragon ( Magic Dragon Puff ).According to the information portal Variety , the studio plans to create a hybrid of fiction and animation films based on the musical composition. The song, written by Leonard Lipton and Peter Yarrow, isabout a dragon named Puff and his friend Jackie Paper , who embark on exciting journeys together. However, children grow up, and over time Jackie loses interest in Puff and his magical world with princesses, kings and pirates. The song, which was released in 1963, became a real hit, and 15 years later, the CBS channel even shot an animated TV movie "The Magic Dragon Puff", which was followed by two sequels.  The new project is being produced by Tory Tunnell (Narcosis) and Joby Harold (Edge of Tomorrow) of Safehouse Pictures . Also, the future tape already has a director - work on the film will be headed by Mike Mitchell , who has credited such cartoons as Trolls, Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 and Shrek Forever.
