James Mangold is preparing Logan spin-off
Blockbuster "Logan" can be safely called one of the best films of this year. And although the picture put an end to the story of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, it introduced the audience to a new heroine who has the same adamantium claws and a heart of gold. With Logan grossing $ 616 million worldwide, the spin-off of Laura, also known as X-23, was only a matter of time.In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Logan's director James Mangold admitted that he had already begun work on the script for the film about Laura. It is difficult to guess in which direction the girl's story will develop. Will she look like Wolverine? Will he become a loner or join the X-Men team? One thing Mangold and producer Hutch Parker are sure of: 20th Century Fox is not afraid to push the boundaries of the superhero genre by giving filmmakers more creative freedom. Among the factors behind Logan's success, Mangold says that the film's team was not afraid to deviate from the standards and shifted the emphasis from special effects to the characters themselves.  As for Hugh Jackman, he finally left the X-Men universe and will not even be involved in the work on the X-23 spin-off as a producer.
