According to some sources, this information does not correspond to reality, and the actor himself has repeatedly claimed that he was disappointed in large-scale franchises. But perhaps the joint filming with Tatum in Logan's Luck was not in vain, and the latter persuaded Craig to star in Gambit as well?  A hint of Nathaniel Essex's appearance can be found in the post-credits scene of X-Men: Apocalypse. In the comics, Sinister was born in Victorian London. A scientist descended from an aristocratic family, he experimented on humans, trying to create a superman of the future. Scientists did not support his ideas, and Essex was excluded from the scientific community. The only one interested in Nathaniel's experiments was the Apocalypse. It was he who endowed Essex with immortality and eternal youth. Sinister also has other superpowers like telepathy and superhuman strength.
