Will Bond Go Against Gambit?

Image Today, the Marvel and DC Cinematic Universes boast armies of fans, but they probably wouldn't exist now if the X-Men movie hadn't been released in 2000. Mutants have begun to popularize blockbuster superhero movies, and the 20th Century Fox franchise has been rebooted several times over the years. At the same time, the major also shot a successful trilogy about Wolverine, but the planned "Gambit" faced many problems.

The blockbuster about Remy LeBeau has gone through more than one change of directors and screenwriters, but the main role in it is still assigned to Channing Tatum. Moreover, the actor claims that work on the project has begun anew, and possible details of the spin-off have already been leaked to the Network. If this information turns out to be true, then in "Gambit" the audience will be presented with one of the most powerful and at the same time strange villains from the world of mutants - Nathaniel Essex, nicknamed Sinister.

Splash Report also shares rumors that the creators of "Gambit" want to invite Daniel Craig to the role of Sinister. According to some sources, this information does not correspond to reality, and the actor himself has repeatedly claimed that he was disappointed in large-scale franchises. But perhaps the joint filming with Tatum in Logan's Luck was not in vain, and the latter persuaded Craig to star in Gambit as well?

A hint of Nathaniel Essex's appearance can be found in the post-credits scene of X-Men: Apocalypse. In the comics, Sinister was born in Victorian London. A scientist descended from an aristocratic family, he experimented on humans, trying to create a superman of the future. Scientists did not support his ideas, and Essex was excluded from the scientific community. The only one interested in Nathaniel's experiments was the Apocalypse. It was he who endowed Essex with immortality and eternal youth. Sinister also has other superpowers like telepathy and superhuman strength.

While "Gambit" remains without a director and a release date, and therefore it is difficult to say how true the rumors about the appearance of Sinister and Daniel Craig in it.
