Casting: Waltz's Directorial Debut and the Dying Musician
For the first time, information that the winner of two Oscars Christoph Waltz ("Inglourious Basterds") was going to stand behind the camera appeared in the spring of 2015. Pulitzer Prize Winner David Auburn (The Lake House) script is based on the real story of Albrecht Moot , convicted of murdering his wife, first published in New York Timestitled Worst Marriage in Georgetown .The eccentric careerist Ulrich Mott (it was decided to change the names of the heroes) seduced and married a rich elderly widow Elsa Brecht , who was 30 years older than him. The couple hosted lavish receptions and entered the highest political circles in Washington. When his wife was found murdered at their home in Georgetown, the inconsolable widower immediately became the main suspect. Trying to convince everyone of his innocence, Mott claimed that his wife was killed by "unknown dark forces" from his past.  The project will be produced by Brett Ratner, David Gerson, John Cheng, as well as actor and director Andrew Levitas, whose company Metalwork is funding the production of the tape. According to the Deadline news portal, Jeff Bridges (Planet Ka-Pax) and Diane Lane (Unfaithful) will play the main roles in the an unnamed project directed by Reed Morano (The Handmaid's Tale). The film, formerly known as First Chair, was written by Stuart Bloomberg (The Kids Are Alright).   In the center of the plot is thenarcissistic violin virtuoso ( Bridges ) who was diagnosed with a life-threatening diagnosis. After starting treatment, he is forced to move in with his ex-wife ( Lane ). As a result of attempts to learn to live together again, the protagonist changes: he learns to interact with the music and the people around him in surprising and unexpected ways. Reed Morano is currently filming the post-apocalyptic film I Think We're Alone with Elle Fanning and Peter Dinklage, and is receiving rave reviews for his work as director and executive producer of The Handmaid's Tale. .  “The film combines many things: wonderful script by Stuart Bloomberg , directed by Reed Morano for the terrific Meadow Country, and the opportunity to work with Diane Lane , with whom we starred in Dick Bill. And of course there will be music in the film that will always warm my heart, "- noted Jeff Bridges . Filming is scheduled to begin in October in Boston. Meanwhile, the winner of the Berlin Film Festival award, director Kim Nguyen (Lovers and the Bear, War Witch) is preparing to shoot his next project, The Hummingbird Project. Jesse Eisenberg ("Illusion of Deception") and Alexander Skarsgard ("Tarzan. The Legend") are going to star in the film.   The plot focuses on the cousins from New York, Vincent and Anton , who are involved in high-frequency trading, where winnings are measured in nanoseconds. Their dream is to make millions by laying fiber-optic cable between Kansas and New Jersey. But not everything is so simple in the way of this vicious couple. Anton is the brain of the operation, Vincent is a go-getter. Together they strive towards the goal, pushing everything and everyone around. However, their former boss breathes in their back, a crazy trader who will stop at nothing to see how the brothers fail. Production of the painting is due to begin in Montreal in October. The script of the future film was written by Nguyen himself. According to him, the film is based on an adventure with heart and soul.
