Oscar - 2017: shortlist of the Best Special Effects nomination
The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released a list of films remaining in the Academy Awards race in the Best Visual Effects category.For the second year in a row, twenty films were shortlisted for the prize for outstanding achievements in special effects. By the end of the year, a special Oscar committee will have to cut this list in half, and on January 24 the academics will officially announce the names of the finalists in this and other categories. As a reminder, the 89th Oscar Awards ceremony will take place on February 26, 2017 . To date, its producers have not yet decided on the name of the host.
