According to some critics, "Suspiria" is the pinnacle of Dario Argento's work. The Italian director is a connoisseur of the Giallo genre, and therefore the idea of reshooting one of the cult horror films of the last century was met with skepticism. The remake fell into the hands of another Italian, Luca Guadagnino, which undoubtedly gave hope to the fans of the original. Guadagnino's track record includes critically acclaimed "Big Splash" and "Call Me by Your Name", and the director calls "Suspiria" a very personal film, since Argento's tape made an indelible impression on him at one time. Film fans love "Suspiria" 1977 for the successful combination of music, unusual filming style and non-standard color palette, and Guadagnino knows very well how to shoot stylish films, especially since he has a talented cast of actors at his disposal in the person of Tilda Swinton, Chloe Grace Moretz, Dakota Johnson and Mia Goth. True, according to Swinton, one should not expect a pure remake of Suspiria from the Italian, since hardly anyone will be able to repeat Dario Argento's work.
