MTV will start awarding series prizes
A recent study by FX found that leading online services, as well as terrestrial and cable TV networks in the United States presented a record 455 series to the public last year. The previous achievement was exceeded by eight percent at once. Curiously, ten years ago, only 192 series were released in North America.Modern television has become such a powerful industry that MTV has chosen to follow the example of the organizers of the Golden Globes, People's Choice Awards and Critics' Choice Awards, which award prizes for merit in the field of cinema and and in the field of TV. According to Deadline , the acclaimed music channel's awards ceremony will be renamed from MTV Movie Awards to MTV Movie & TV Awards .  For many years the channel MTV has awarded only big movie stars with branded cups of golden popcorn, but at the upcoming ceremony it will finally introduce nominations for the series. The names of the categories for TV projects are still kept secret. The advent of the Golden Age of Television helped MTV start producing their own serial dramas. This year, the popular TV channel intends to please its fans with the third season of the Scream horror and the second chapter of the fantasy saga The Chronicles of Shannara.
