Image Director Doug Lyman (Edge of Tomorrow) has once again become interested in teenage fiction. According to the site Deadline , Cross Creek Pictures , with which the filmmaker has already worked on the crime drama Mena, has acquired the rights to film the book Unearthed . Lyman will take over the development of the project to lead the filming.

The novel, due next year, will be the first book in a dilogy by Amy Kaufman and Megan Spooner . They are fans of Lyman's work , and therefore easily agreed to sell the rights to the film adaptation even before the work was published.

The original is described as a mix of "Lara Croft" and "Indiana Jones", which takes place in space. Jules Addison and Amelia Radcliffe embark on a dangerous adventure, traveling to a newly discovered planet to uncover the secrets of an ancient civilization. Now Doug Lyman is preparing to shoot another project based on a teenage romance - the film "Chaos," starring Daisy Ridley. The director still plans to work on the sequel "Edge of the Future", as well as tapes "Attica" and "Luna Park".
