One of the most interesting films of all that is now shown in our cinemas is the new film by the cult director Martin Scorsese Silence . The religious-historical drama, to which the famous filmmaker has been going for 30 years, tells the story of two Catholic priests who went to Japan in search of their teacher. At the same time, they spread Christianity in a country where their fellows are cruelly tortured.Despite the seriousness of the stated topic, the general public, following the criticism, accepted the novelty quite favorably, although producers should not count on record collections in our country. Among the advantages of the picture were its solemn atmosphere, the brilliant play of the actors (primarily by Andrew Garfield), the luxurious recreation of the 17th century Japan, the virtuoso camera work and the most powerful humanistic message. Apparently, the 74-year-old director is in great shape.
