Sony wants to involve Spike Lee in Nightwatch spin-off
Sony plans to expand the Marvel universe with yet another Spider-Man spin-off, filming the story of Nightwatch . According to the host of Meet the Movie Press Jeff Snyder , Spike Lee will sit in the director's chair ("25th Hour") and Edward Ricourt ("Illusion of Deception") will be scripted .At the moment, the studio is in full swing preparing for "Venom", in which Tom Hardy will play the main role, and also plans to shoot individual films for Craven , Mysterio , and the tandem Black Cat with Silver Sable . Nightwatch was rumored to appear in the summer premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming , but talk of a solo project is getting louder. Outside of fan circles, Nightwatch is little known. The character first appeared in Spider-Man # 97, where Dr. Kevin Trench witnessed his own death in the future. Thus began the story of a new hero trying to figure out the circumstances of his death.
