The film company Fox 2000 decided to give viewers the opportunity to see the intense air battles during the Second World War. As it became known to the edition The Hollywood Reporter , the American studio begins work on the film adaptation of the book Katherine Sharp Landdeck " Women with Silver Wings " ( The Women With Silver Wings ).The work of a professor at the Texas Women's University tells about the first division of the Air Force in the history of the United States, which consisted of the fair sex. The Women's Pilot Service ( WASP ) was established on August 5, 1943, and by the time the Second World War ended, 1,074 girls were already at the helm of military aircraft. Despite the fact that female pilots made a significant contribution to the victory of the Allies, the American government refused to assign them the military rank and give them any privileges of war veterans. Only in 2009, the merits of the brave female pilots were finally awarded the Gold Medal of the Congress.  The Silver Wings will be directed by Thomas Kail . Last year, the American managed to get two prestigious awards at once - " Tony " and " Emmy ". He won the theater prize for his work on the acclaimed musical Hamilton , and he won the world's main television award for staging the musical Grease Live! for the Fox channel. It is not excluded that it is “ Silver Wings ” that will allow Kail to make his debut in big cinema. Thomas also plans to work on a Disney musical about Oliver Twist, but he may first implement the project by Fox 2000 .
