Netflix will wrap up Orson Welles' latest film
It looks like now even the iconic Orson Welles (Citizen Kane) has the opportunity to appear on Netflix . As reported by THR , last year a fundraising campaign was launched to complete Wells The Other Side of the Wind , which will be completed right up to his death in 1985, the director was not given financial difficulties. However, a spokesperson for Netflix recently announced that the channel had acquired all rights to this picture. The company will finance the restoration and production, as well as the sale of the tape, which, after completion of work on it, will be shown on the basis of a streaming video service.The film is a semi-biographical satire of life in Hollywood with John Houston as the legendary but middle-aged director trying to get back into business and present his last big film - The Other Side of the Wind . The film's producer, Frank Marshall, who spearheaded the campaign to revive the film, stated: “I just can't believe it. After 40 years of unsuccessful attempts to complete production! .. I am grateful to Netflix for allowing us to finally complete Orson's final masterpiece .  Marshall will oversee the restoration of the tape, in consultation with Peter Bogdanovich, who played a major role in the film. Oya Kodar, Robert Random, Lilly Palmer, Edmond O'Brien, Cameron Mitchell, Mercedes McCambridge, Susan Strasberg, Paul Stewart and Dennis Hopper also visited his set.
