Director Kenneth Branagh (Jack Ryan: Chaos Theory) seems intent on not only filming a new version of Murder on the Orient Express, based on the Agatha Christie novel, but also to assemble an equally stellar cast. that was at the disposal of Sidney Lumet when working on the 1974 film adaptation.As the information portal The Hollywood Reporter managed to find out, Johnny Depp is negotiating to join the cast of the new film. He was offered the role of Ratchett - an American with a dark past, whose murder is precisely the cause of the dramatic events that unfolded on the Orient Express . The novel of the detective queen, we recall, tells about Hercule Poirot , played by Branagh himself. On the famous Orient Express , the Belgian goes to Europe, but on the way during a forced stop caused by a blizzard, a brutal murder occurs on the train. Poirot must immediately find out who committed the crime before more victims appear ...  Following Depp , Michelle Pfeiffer (Dark Shadows), Daisy Ridley expressed a desire to take part in the filming of the new Murders on the Orient Express (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Michael Pena (Patrol) and Judy Dench (007: Skyfall Coordinates). So, Pfeiffer got the role of the glamorous and quite self-confident Mrs. Hubbard , and Ridley will play Mary Debenham . Judi Dench will embody the image of the royal personage of Princess Dragomirova , and Pena - a Cuban passenger named Marquez .  Also in the cast of the film adaptation are Leslie Odom Jr., Tom Bateman, Lucy Boynton and Derek Jacoby. The premiere of the film in USA is scheduled for November 23, 2017 .
