Ridley Scott will recreate the Battle of Britain

Image While preparing for the filming of the drama about the infamous kidnapping of Paul Getty Jr. is in full swing, and Alien: Covenant is preparing for the premiere, director Ridley Scott has time to select new projects for himself. Thus, the portal Deadline reports that the filmmaker will fulfill his old dream - he will lead the work on the film about the Battle of Britain.

Despite the fact that the studio 20th Century Fox acquired the script application for the picture last year, the project is still in the early stages of development and does not even have a full script. By the way, it will be handled by aspiring author Matthew Orton.

The Battle of Britain is one of the turning points of World War II. The air battle lasted from July to October 1940. During air battles, the RAF managed to repel attempts by the Luftwaffe to achieve air superiority. For the first time since 1969, when the film "Battle of England" was released, an entire film will be dedicated to this aviation battle.

Before the project can be implemented, Ridley Scott will have to find a place for him in his already busy work schedule. In addition to the film about the abduction of Paul Getty Jr. and at least three new prequels to "Alien", the director intends to lead the filming of the crime drama "Cartel" based on the novel by Don Winslow. Previously, Scott also planned to shoot the first western in his career.
