Harry Potter Producer Opens Mysterious Garden
Producer David Hayman and StudioCanal , who donated the film The Adventures of Paddington, are starting work on a new joint project - the adaptation of the novel by Francis Hodgson Burnett The Secret Garden. The news site Deadline writes about this.Heyman will be co-produced by his Heyday Films colleague Rosie Alison. In addition, the project has already acquired a screenwriter - Jack Thorne, one of the most sought-after British authors of our time, will adapt the original source. The original story is about a 10-year-old orphan Mary Lennox , who, after the death of her parents, is sent to live with her uncle in England. Mystery Garden has been adapted for large screens several times. The last version was released in 1993, and the main role in the film was played by Kate Maberly. A few years ago, Guillermo del Toro was going to create his own version of The Mystery Garden , but this Universal project never got further development.  In addition to The Adventures of Paddington, Hayman has produced all the films in the Harry Potter franchise, as well as the seven Oscar-winning movie Gravity . Now, with StudioCanal David is working on the continuation of the story about a bear cub, which was adopted by the Brown family .
