Although Alan Moore is rightfully considered the genius of the comic book industry, the adaptations of his graphic novels do not reach the level of genius of the originals. From Hell and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen were crushed by critics, Guardians and V means Vendetta ”also caused discontent among fans of Moore's work.The main problem is that, due to the limitations of film format, Moore's complex and overarching stories are nearly impossible to adapt for large screens without loss.
