John Bernthal perfectly manages to combine work in film and television. Carla Gugino (San Andreas Rift) and Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek) starred in Gerald's Game - film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Stephen King. The production is directed by Mike Flanagan (Oculus), who co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Howard (Doubt). The cast also includes Henry Thomas, Karel Stryuken, Keith Siegel and Chiara Aurelia. In the story, Gerald and Jesse go to their summer house to spend a romantic weekend there, including, among other things, sex games. However, it all ends very tragically, and Jesse is left alone, handcuffed to the bed. There is nowhere to wait for help, and over time, the heroine begins to plunge into painful memories of the past. Her only company is a hungry dog, voices in her own head, and possibly a person watching Jesse from the corner of a dark room.
