American critics named the best films and TV series of 2017
The 23rd annual Critics' Choice Awards have finished in Santa Monica. The prestigious award was established by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, the largest organization of critics in the USA and Canada. The association includes over three hundred reputable film and television reviewers.Since 2016, the Critics' Choice Awards have combined the awarding of statuettes for achievements on large and small screens. This year's event was hosted by actress, writer and activist Olivia Munn. The status of the main favorite of the ceremony was confirmed by the fantasy drama "The Shape of Water", which won four of the fourteen announced nominations. The closest pursuer of Guillermo del Toro's film was the tragicomedy Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. In the category for drama series this year, the dystopia "The Handmaid's Tale" was unmatched, adding three awards from American television critics to its impressive collection of prized trophies.
