As a result, the duo received an invitation to lead the filming of the next "Pirates of the Caribbean", and although the sequel to the popular franchise was met by critics without much enthusiasm, it managed to raise almost $ 795 million worldwide. It was rumored that during the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean, a conflict arose between Ronning and Sandberg, and perhaps that's why their well-coordinated duo fell apart. Ronning is going to independently do not only the second "Maleficent", but also the adaptation of the last novel by Michael Crichton. At the same time, the Disney project is a priority for the director, and if everything goes according to plan, the shooting of the fairy tale will begin in the first quarter of 2018.
