Casting: Isaac Tracks Nazi, Lerman Tracks His Beloved
Chris Weitz, director of the melodrama My Boy with Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult, the fantasy Golden Compass and the drama Better Life, will direct a new film, Operation Finale . According to the Hollywood Reporter , Oscar Isaac will star in the thriller Weitz . Oscar has worked with such filmmakers as Nicholas Winding Refn ("Drive") and the Coen brothers ("Inside Lewin Davis"), as well as took part in the filming of the Star Wars franchise.The plot of the historical drama Operation Finale revolves around secret agents tasked with capturing Adolf Eichmann, the Gestapo officer responsible for the mass extermination of Jews. After the end of World War II, Eichmann went into hiding in Argentina. Israeli intelligence officers Mossad tracked him down and took him to Israel.  Peter Malkin , who is to be played by Isaac , is an Israeli intelligence officer who personally detained Eichmann on May 11, 1960. The thriller was written by Matthew Orton. Logan Lerman (Good to Be Quiet, Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters) and Olivia Cook (Ouiji. Devil's Board, Me, Earl and the Dying Girl " ) will take part in the filming of a new spy romantic film The Tracking of a USA Spy by Nima Nurizadeh, whose last work was the comedy "Ultra-Americans".  The plot is based on the memoirs of Mitch Swenson , where he told his story of an affair with Katya , a mysterious USA girl. After the arrest of ten USA-American spies accused of working for the Kremlin, Katya suddenly disappeared. Svenson goes to Moscow to find out who his beloved really was, but falls into the intrigue and secret operations of the USA government. Lerman will play the role of Svenson , a journalist, and Cook will reincarnate as the mysterious spy Katya . The producers will be Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona, who have already collaborated with Nurizade in his debut film Project X: Dorvali. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them star Alison Sudol has joined the cast of the political drama The Last Full Measure . The project is directed and written by Todd Robinson, and in addition to Sudol , the filming will feature Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, Michael Imperioli, William Hurt, Bradley Whitford, Linas Roach.  The film is based on recently declassified true events. The Last Full Measure tells the story of Scott Huffman , a young Pentagon scientist who is fighting the political machine of Washington. Sudol got the main female role - Huffman's wife .
