Casting: Santa's Wife and Catch-Up Game
As they say, prepare the sleigh in the summer ... While ordinary people dream of good weather and think about how to spend their summer days, filmmakers are planning how to entertain their viewers during the winter holidays. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Melissa McCarthy (Cops in Skirts, The Spy) is set to star in a Christmas comedy Margie Claus b>.The film is produced by the New Line Cinema studio. The project is described as a big holiday family musical that the studio hopes will have the same vibe (and the same success) as their other Christmas movie, The Elf, starring Will Ferrell. Events will evolve after Santa Claus disappears while delivering gifts on the eve of Christmas. His lovely wife Margie Klaus has to assemble an incredible rescue team and, for the first time in decades, get out of the North Pole to find Santa and save Christmas.  Together with her husband and partner, Ben Falcone ("Big Boss"), Melissa will be producing the comedy. Falcone will also co-write the screenplay with Damon Jones (Loser) and direct the project. The release of the picture is scheduled for November 15, 2019 . The winner of the Oscar Forest Whitaker ("The Last King of Scotland") will join Theo James on the set of the fantasy thriller How It Ends, writes the information portal Coming Soon . David M. Rosenthal (The Perfect Guy) will direct the project, written by Brooks McLaren.  The film will focuson a mysterious apocalyptic event, after which the whole world plunges into chaos. The main character ( James ) is a young father who will stop at nothing to get to the other end of the country, home to his pregnant wife. The rights to the film were acquired by Netflix . Production is slated to begin next month in Canada. The cast of the comedy Tag was also replenished with a new name. John Hamm has signed up to participate in the future project of the studio New Line Cinema . Jeremy Renner, Ed Helms, Jake Johnson, Hannibal Beresse, Annabelle Wallace and Rashida Jones will also appear in the film. Mark Stylen ("Mozart in the Jungle") and Rob McKittrick ("Big Grub") are working on the script for the tape. The film is based on a real story, published in The Wall Street Journal , about a group of friends who have been playing catch-up for the past 30 years, traveling across the country.  Hamm got the role of one of his friends, who was a very successful person both at school and in life, and now he is a big businessman, but he still finds himself in various ridiculous situations in the company of his friends. Filming directed by Jeff Tomsich (Broad City) is set to begin in Atlanta later this month. The movie will hit theaters on June 29, 2018 . Soon John Hamm , who received an Emmy and two Golden Globes for his role in Mad Men, will be able to be seen at large screens in the movie "Baby Drive".
