Nicholas Hoult will play the creator of The Lord of the Rings
Nicholas Hoult, known to audiences for his X-Men and Mad Max: Fury Road, will play Middle-earth creator John Tolkien in a biopic from Fox Searchlight and Chernin Entertainment. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It is alleged that the action will take place on the eve of the First World War, when the future writer and several of his close friends organized a secret society, which they called the "Tea Club". A little later, several of the members of this club will die in the bloody battle on the Somme, which was a shock for Tolkien and had an impact on his entire life and work.
