Creator of Taboo and Peaky Blinders will look into the future
Over the past few years, Oscar-nominated Stephen Knight has given audiences the opportunity to travel to 19th century London in the drama Taboo and travel to the criminal districts of Birmingham at the beginning of the last century in the Peaky Blinders gangster saga. Now the talented Briton has decided to try his hand at science fiction.According to Deadline, Knight managed to find a buyer for the script for the series tentatively titled See. Several large channels and online services took part in the struggle for the project. As a result, a deal with Stephen was struck by the young Apple TV department, which ordered the production of the full first season, bypassing the usual scheme of filming a pilot episode. The details of the See plot are still kept secret. It is only known that the action of the new series by Stephen Knight will unfold in the future, and it will focus on the construction of entire worlds.  According to insiders, Francis Lawrence will act as the main director of the show. The director's track record includes the film comic strip "Constantine: Lord of Darkness", three parts of the Hunger Games franchise and the upcoming spy thriller "Red Sparrow. Apple executives announced their desire to enter the TV show market late last summer. Since then, its television department has already launched a reboot of Steven Spielberg's famous anthology, Amazing Stories, and a sci-fi drama from Battlestar Galactica creator Ronald D. Moore.
