Starsky and Hutch are back on TV
No matter how TV producers try to play on the nostalgic feelings of the audience, most modern remakes of TV shows and films of the 80s do not find a response in the hearts of viewers. Those shows that managed to win the love of the audience can be counted on one hand. However, a project appeared on the horizon that could interest TV lovers. According to the portal The Hollywood Reporter , Sony Pictures Television intends to revive the popular 70s drama Starsky and Hutch , and work on a new version will be chaired by James Gunn , director of Guardians of the Galaxy.It is reported that Gunn will handle the script with brother Brian and cousin Mark. All three will act as executive producers of the series, considered at this stage as a one-hour procedural project. The show Starsky & Hutch premiered in 1975 and aired for four seasons with about a hundred episodes. David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser starred in the detective series Ken Hutchinson and David Starsky . It was at that time that projects about policemen were gaining popularity on TV, and Starsky and Hutch was remembered by the audience thanks to the perfectly matched duo of the main characters, jazz music and a bright red car of the brand Ford Grand Torino , on which the titular characters drove.  In 2004, the series received a full-length remake, starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. The film by Todd Phillips was set in the same time era as the original, but it was a parody version of the show ABC .
