Americans will re-shoot the Franco-Belgian ”Bodyguard”

Image The world of cinema continues to experience a wave of remake addiction. Deadline reports that Sony Pictures intends to shoot an American version of the thriller " The Bodyguard ", co-produced by France and Belgium.

The original film by Alice Vinokur, starring Matthias Schonarts and Diane Kruger, told the story of a former military Vincent suffering from PTSD. One fine day, the main character is hired as a bodyguard by the wife and son of a Lebanese businessman, who live in a luxury villa on the French Riviera. Despite the quiet and measured atmosphere of life on the Cote d'Azur, Vincent does not leave a premonition that mortal danger looms over his clients ...

The world premiere of the film took place at last year's Cannes Film Festival , where he took part in the " Unusual View " competition program. Vinokur hit USA screens in January this year.

Taylor Sheridan , who began his career in Hollywood as an actor, will adapt the story to American realities. Sheridan got the chance to show his talent as a storyteller a few years ago, when Black Label Media and Thunder Road Pictures were interested in his script for the crime thriller Murderer. br />
Todd Black (The Pursuit of Happyness), Jason Blumenthal (The Great Equalizer) and Steve Tisch (Forrest Gump) will be involved in producing the remake.
