Thanks to the success of TV series such as Hand of God and The Man in the High Castle , the online service Amazon has become one of the leading American TV content producers, with which the top stars are ready to cooperate.As reported by Deadline , the bosses of Amazon Studios suggested Suzanne Beer to film a pilot episode of the so far unnamed drama about pre-revolutionary Cuba. The news comes just two days after the Danish woman received a Emmy nomination for her work on the spy thriller The Night Manager . Earlier in Hollywood, there were rumors that, thanks to the television adaptation of John Le Carre's novel, Beer has become a contender for the director's chair for the next Bond film. The main venue for the new Amazon service will be the Tropicana nightclub, which opened its doors to guests and residents of Havana in December 1939. Its visitors included legendary gangsters, supporters of the Fulgencio Batista regime and revolutionaries of Fidel Castro, CIA agents, as well as celebrities such as Edith Piaf, Ernest Hemingway and Marlon Brando.
