Sarah Paulson to appear in The Goldfinch adaptation
It would seem that not so long ago the American writer Donna Tartt finished working on "The Goldfinch", a Pulitzer Prize winner, and the Variety edition has already announced the adaptation of the novel for large screens. As it became known, the famous actress Sarah Paulson will take part in the filming of the film adaptation. Ansel Elgort ("Baby Drive") has already received an invitation to the main role.In the center of the plot is the young Theodore Decker (Elgort), who lost his mother after the terrorist attack in the museum and miraculously survived. The tragedy forces the hero to go to Las Vegas to his own father and get involved in a dangerous adventure with fake works of art. Paulson in this story will play the role of the mother of the beloved Theodore - Xandra. The actress is a longtime collaborator with Ryan Murphy, who has starred in several of his projects, including the incredibly successful first season of American Crime Story. She is currently involved with Sandra Bullock in the upcoming thriller Bird Box * based on the book by Josh Malerman.  The film adaptation will be produced by Warner Bros. in conjunction with online service Amazon, the Goldfinch director's chair is assigned to John Crowley. Filming is due to start next year.
