AFI's Best Movies of 2017
The American Film Institute (AFI) has once again compiled a list of the best films and television series of the outgoing year. Getting into the chart for most of the paintings was quite predictable. For example, the same horror movie Get Out was the discovery of this year: it not only earned critical praise and achieved success at the box office, but also made producers pay attention to Jordan Peel's talent as a director.On the other hand, a representative of the superhero genre - "Wonder Woman" was included in the list. The press has long been discussing the question of whether any blockbuster will be able to get an Oscar nomination, and AFI, by the way, quite often guesses the candidates for the main film award. Among the best television series, as expected, were the novelties of this year, in the arsenal of which there are already Emmy awards ("The Handmaid's Tale", "Feud"). The representatives of the institute also paid attention to the second season of the popular drama Mysterious Events.
