A screenwriter was found for the Black Widow Solnik

Image Marvel President Kevin Feige spoke about the possibility of creating a Black Widow solo album back in 2014. Since then, the project has been overgrown with rumors, but now hope has dawned for fans of Scarlett Johansson and her heroine. According to the Variety portal, the Marvel leadership invited Jacqueline Schaeffer to write the script for the film about Natasha Romanoff. While the picture is in the early stages of development and has not yet received the green light from the studio, but after several years of speculation, the Marvel bosses finally took the first step towards implementing this idea.

The source says Kevin Feige held talks with a number of potential screenwriters before opting for Schaeffer. Moreover, Johansson herself was involved in the discussions - she expressed her wishes about what she wants to see in the future film.

Jacqueline Schaeffer's debut work was the fantastic rom-com Timer, presented in 2009 at the Tribeca festival. Since then, she has managed to work on the yet unreleased action movie The Shower about an alien invasion, as well as a remake of Inveterate Scammers. Peru Schaeffer wrote the recent short film Olaf and the Cold Adventure.


The first appearance of the Black Widow on the big screens took place in the sequel to Iron Man, after which the heroine Johansson became an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, the actress and the president of the studio have insisted that Natasha Romanoff's solo album has every chance of reaching the screens, but only now the film is closer to reality than ever.
