Cal is the father of a 14-year-old teenager, unhappy that his child is too spoiled by the benefits of civilization. To show him what it's like to be a real man, he takes the boy on his first hunt in his life - to the snow-capped mountains of Montana. The guy doesn't really like the idea of such a harsh training, nor its implementation, but when an aggressive grizzly attacks Cal , he has to pull himself together and seriously concern himself with the question of his survival. In the story, a depressed girl Ruth , returning from work, found that her house was robbed.
