Miguel Sapochnik and Sinbad the Sailor set course for the big screens
Not only studio Disney is ready to return popular characters from cartoons and fairy tales to screens: Studio 8 will follow its example. According to the website The Hollywood Reporter , the production company has acquired the rights to the project about Sinbad the Sailor .The full-length feature film will be written by Kyle Killen ("Beaver", "Awake" / Awake ), and the director's chair will be taken by the winner of the Emmy Award Miguel Sapochnik ("Game of Thrones" / Game of Thrones ), who managed to work on almost two dozen serials during his career. The project will be produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, who have written the drama The Fighter, which was nominated for a Oscar . Details of the upcoming picture have not yet been reported. The adventures of the legendary sailor Sinbad are described in the book A Thousand and One Nights and more than once inspired filmmakers to create films and cartoons. A special place in the history of cinema is occupied by the fantasy "The Seventh Journey of Sinbad", which was remembered by the audience thanks to the special effects of Ray Harrihausen.
